Topic: Structure Regulation and Performance Optimization of Organic Semiconductor Photocatalysts
Guest Editors
Special Issue Introduction
The photocatalytic technique offers a promising solution to the ever increasing environmental and energy challenges. It is critical to develop photocatalysts that meet the demands of practical applications. Over the past decade, various materials have been explored for photocatalytic uses. Organic semiconductor photocatalysts have gained great attention in recent years due to their easily tunable structure and function through molecular design. These organic photocatalysts include carbon nitrides, covalent organic frameworks, polymers, triazine-based frameworks, and conjugated materials, as well as their hybrids and composites. This collection aims to highlight the structure regulation and performance optimization of these materials as photocatalysts and showcase their diverse applications such as environmental remediation, water splitting, hydrogen production, organic synthesis, carbon dioxide reduction, nitrogen fixation, hydrogen peroxide photosynthesis, bacterial inactivation, tumor treatment, etc.
